Classified according to Cordage Institute (CI) 1801 as Nylon Static rope, it is third party certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) in conformance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and European Standards (CE) for life safety rope. PMI’s 16 carrier construction beats 32 and 48 carrier designs hands down in abrasion tests.

EZ Bend
Great rope for Cylinder descent use... PMI EZ Bend combines PMI’s advanced abrasion resistance technology with excellent knotability and easier handling characteristics than MaxWear. Tough rope for tough applications. You can identify EZ Bend in the field by the two stripes over the base color. Better results for cylinder descent applications.
MaxWear
Great rope for Rappel Rack descent use.... PMI MaxWear was designed for rugged use in the harshest environments. Extreme cavers and those who work in rugged terrain appreciate the superior abrasion resistance of MaxWear. Harder to knot than EZ Bend. You can identify MaxWear in the field by the fact that it stands up more straight than other ropes, or by the sheath pattern. It has only one stripe over the base color. Better results for rappel rack descent applications.
