Self Braking Descenders

These are mechanical friction brake devices used when belaying. Their main purpose is to allow locking off of the rope with minimal effort. Used as descenders, for controlled descent on a rope, that is, rappeling. These types of descenders allow the user to self brake at any position of the work line allowing for easy operation. Ideal for descending ropes and belaying. To descend, simply pull on the handle and the speed of descent is regulated by varying the grip on the multi-functional handle.
