SMC Carabiners
Precision craftsmanship and careful attention to detail make these the finest Aluminum carabiners you can buy. Sharp edges resulting from machining operations have been heavily radiused to help protect rope and webbing from abrasion. All critical diminsions are held to close tolerances and detailed inspection procedures are carried out during all production operations.
All steel carabiners shown here feature stainless steel gates and locking knobs for better gate and locking action and more corrosion resistance on moving parts. With the exception of the Safety Lock, all SMC carabiner sleeves lock on the gate rather than the body of the carabiner, which eliminates any problem with the knob binding on the frame after the carabiner has been loaded. The components for these carabiners are meticulously hand-finished after machining, which contributes to the smooth, free gate action you expect from SMC. Additionally, each carabiner is 100% hand-inspected for gate action and other functional characteristics before leaving our factory.
